FROM THE FIELDS

Our work has always been rooted in a deep respect for the land. Founded in 2004 by Carole Bamford, the brand grew from a vision to champion sustainable and mindful living - a commitment she has nurtured for over four decades. Our philosophy is simple yet profound: to live consciously, in harmony with nature, and to honour the resources the earth provides.

This Autumn, we are delighted to bring that ethos to life with the launch of From the Fields, a capsule lifestyle collection inspired by the land that surrounds us, crafted to utilise material byproduct wherever possible.

A CIRCULAR VISION, FROM FARM TO FINISHED PIECE

From the fleece of our flocks to the hides of our cattle, every material is embraced and elevated, reflecting our commitment to regenerative practices and the circular economy.

"I’m passionate about circularity initiatives that unite my businesses while reducing waste — from sheep’s wool to cattle hides processed at our abattoir. I firmly believe that with enough skill and ingenuity, there’s no limit to the things we might create from homegrown materials that could be mistaken for byproducts. It’s a sustainable approach that also deepens our connection to place and craftsmanship."

CELEBRATING BRITISH WOOL

Raised organically on Daylesford Farm, our Saxon Merino sheep are cared for under the highest standards of animal welfare. For this collection we have blended their fleece with Bluefaced Leicester wool, a native breed sourced from Devon, to create a fabric that celebrates the best of British wool.

Unlike conventional merino, typically imported from Australia or New Zealand, our UK-based supply chain reduces carbon emissions by 90%, from 1.5 kg CO₂e per kg of wool to less than 0.1 kg CO₂e

Each garment in the collection travels no more than 552 miles from fleece to final product, and the wool is processed, spun, and knitted entirely within the UK, ensuring transparency and traceability at every step.

LEATHER: FROM NOSE TO TAIL

Extending our nose-to-tail philosophy beyond the butchery, our new leather collection transforms hides from our organic cattle into durable, beautifully crafted pieces. Working with British Pasture Leather, we have reclaimed each hide through their skilled network of British makers to vegetable-tan and finish them using traditional techniques.

From Daylesford Farm, the cattle are sent to our organic abattoir at Wootton. From there, they travel to Thomas Ware & Sons in Bristol, where they are vegetable tanned using natural extracts like mimosa, chestnut and myrobalan, giving the leather its durability and character. The hides are then finished at Charlie Laurie in Rutland, where skilled artisans handcraft each piece.

From pasture to finished product, every leather piece travels no more than 473 miles, a stark contrast to much of the global leather industry, where materials often journey thousands of miles. This network ensures quality, traceability, and minimal environmental impact.

REGENERATIVE FARMING AT THE HEART

Daylesford Farm continues to lead the way in organic and regenerative agriculture. Through soil carbon sequestration, careful grazing practices, and nutrient recycling, our farms sequester 35.97% more greenhouse gas emissions than we produce, boost soil fertility, and protect water retention. Every fibre and hide in this collection are born from land that is cared for today.
