Regenerative design is about creating in a way that restores rather than depletes. Unlike conventional methods, this process seeks to give back to the land, making use of materials that might otherwise go to waste. For this collection we’ve embraced a circular approach; honouring everything our farm provides, from wool to cattle hides once considered byproducts.

Wool and leather are both renewable, natural materials that, when farmed and crafted responsibly, offer durability without reliance on synthetic alternatives. Unlike the vast majority of man-made fabrics, they are biodegradable and can be returned to the soil at the end of their life.

By keeping our supply chain entirely on British Soil, we are able to minimise our environmental footprint, support local businesses and ensure full traceability from farm to final pieces. Most of the global fashion and leather industries rely on long, complex supply chains, with materials often travelling thousands of miles before becoming a finished piece. Conventional Merino wool, for example, is typically imported from Australia or New Zealand, generating around 1.5 kg of CO₂e per kg of wool in transport alone. By keeping every stage of our supply chain in the UK, we cut those emissions by up to 90%, while ensuring each material can be traced back to its origin.

The wool used in our From the Fields collection comes from our Merino flock, raised on Daylesford Farm. To create yarn suitable for spinning, we have blended our own wool with Bluefaced Leicester wool from farmer, Richard Turner’s award-winning Brindfield flock in Devon. These longer fibres help hold the Merino together. The wool is then processed and spun entirely in the UK at The Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall, where it is sorted, washed with organic soap, carded, combed and spun into high quality yarn. From there, it is sent to skilled knit manufacturers in Nottingham and London to create our products. Any leftover wool during the production process is repurposed in multiple ways to minimise waste resulting from the process, including composting waste fleece to be used on the Daylesford Market Garden.

The leather used in our From the Fields collection comes from our organic cattle, raised on our farms. We worked with British Pasture Leather, who have innovated a new supply chain for local leather production. Through their network of skilled British makers, we can trace the entirety of the supply chain. From Daylesford Farm, the cattle are sent to our organic abattoir at Wootton. From there, they travel to Thomas Ware & Sons in Bristol, where they are vegetable tanned using natural extracts like mimosa, chestnut and myrobalan, giving the leather its durability and character. The hides are then finished at Charlie Laurie in Rutland, where skilled artisans handcraft each piece.

Clean dirt promptly using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing the leather too hard when cleaning, as this can remove colour or leave scratches. Dab water immediately if the leather gets wet, then allow to dry naturally. Don’t dry with strong heat sources such as hairdryers or radiators. Store away from direct heat or prolonged sunlight to prevent fading and cracking. Avoid contact with rough or abrasive surfaces to prevent marks. Avoid exposure to heavy rainfall or prolonged moisture.

Natural wool yarns are hand wash only. These pieces can also be washed in a woolmark-approved washing machine on a wool cycle. Dry flat.
