Bamford – Creative Designer, London

We are looking for a Mid to High Creative Designer to join our team at our South Kensington head office. Full time, Monday – Friday, office hours 9am – 6pm.

About the role

As our talented Creative Designer, you’ll work across fashion, bath & body, spa, homeware and accessories ranges. Working closely work the Marketing team, you’ll support events, workshops, wellness education programmes and content illustrating. You would be responsible for bringing the story and our brand values to life for customers across our two London stores, the Farm store and Spa in Gloucestershire and wholesale accounts. Working with the head of Visual Merchandiser, marketing team and reporting to the Creative Director you will be asked to turn your hand to everything Bamford requires; from packaging to brochures, signage, photography direction, our seasonal journal, eBooks and digital graphics, website updates.

About you

• You must have a passion for design, innovation and the wellness/wellbeing trends. • Inquisitive and alert - you immerse yourself in design and are enthusiastic about bringing new ideas and design concepts to the table. • Organised - you have the ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines. • Flexible - you will be working on multiple projects each day with shifting timelines. • Proactive - you must be able to work independently to seek out information within Bamford and beyond to progress your projects. • Responsible - ability to take responsibility for your own projects and ensure they are delivered on time and to the highest standard. • Team player - be able to build great relationships within the business and with our suppliers. • Determined - you always get the job done.

Experience needed:

• Professional design experience, including fashion or lifestyle retail. • Experience in story-telling for customers in a retail or public space. • Able to lead packaging designs from concept through to artwork. • Experience in managing a budget, or with sourcing and managing costs. • Excellent skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator& Photoshop. • Good online design experience

Responsibilities:

• Following creative direction, develop emotionally engaging, consistent visual story-telling throughout our customer’s journey, from the moment they first hear or see our brand and products. • Create covetable designs which represent the Bamford brand values. • Good technical and problem-solving abilities regarding print specifications and packaging construction. • Ability to ensure accurate artwork is produced. Experience with print proofs and creating artwork is essential. • Design and coordinate the seasonal install of signage and messaging with internal and external teams. We have several seasonal changes a year. • Assess the photography requirements for new projects, coordinate the shoots for print and digital imagery, ensure timely delivery and brand consistency. • Excellent spelling and grammar required. • You will be expected to travel to the farm shop in the Cotswolds a few times a month.

Social Content Editor

This newly created role will be ideal for a self-starter with excellent knowledge of all social media platforms, as well as an interest in the latest digital developments. As Social Content Editor you will support the Marketing & Digital Manager in growing Bamford’s social media engagement and enhancing story telling online. The successful candidate will play an integral role in shaping the future of Bamford’s digital activity.

Main Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Marketing and Digital Manager to implement a social media strategy to drive growth.

• Overseeing the day to day running of social media channels, website journal and email calendar management, including sourcing and scheduling imagery and video content. Social channels; Bamford and Bamford Grooming Department Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn.

• The successful candidate will be brimming with new ideas about how to maximise our digital potential – whether that is through the creation of visually engaging Instagram stories, or commissioning new video content.

• They will also have an understanding of Bamford’s online audience, as well as the content that it covers, and related content to drive storytelling; lifestyle, travel, health, beauty, wellness. They will be able to turn around quick, engaging copy for social, and have an excellent eye for beautiful imagery.

• The role will play an essential point between creative, marketing and product departments. Gathering product information and translating sustainability stories to online channels.

• Photography and video content genearation in spa, stores and on location using a digital camera and editing software.

• Convey brand tone of voice to community in social posts and stories, responding to comments in a timely and professional manner. Working closely with the brand copywriter.

• Influencer engagement, in collaboration with the PR team nurture relationships with key influencers and brand ambassadors. Capture digital content at key events and Haybarn workshops.

• Create and implement a paid social programme to deliver growth.

• Plan, execute and report on weekly email newsletter communications to our database.

• Competitor research and awareness of digital trends. Identify trends and new technologies to keep at the forefront of industry developments including mobile marketing.

• Develop stategy and reporting framework for social media and email marketing campaigns, analyse performance and optimise to achieve KPI’s and healthy ROI.

• Set up regular reports to analyse data and metrics. Grow and develop communities on social media platforms.

• Monitor trending news and write social news stories.

• Support marketing and digital manager with seasonal web product upload and day to day tasks.

• Idea generation and creative thinking.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Background of working in social media, with an enviable track record of growing traffic and engagement. Experience in editorial tone of voice and social copywriting.

• A passion for social media and digital platforms and a keen follower of talent, brands and influencers across the industry.

• Intuitive and analytical, understands how audiences use social media.

• A creative thinker with new ideas and enthusiasm.

• A team-player willing to work out of hours when it is required.

• Experience in beauty, clothing or the wellness industry a plus.

• Understanding of Bamford’s culture and business goals.

• Proficient in Microsoft suite, good analytics and excel skills. Adobe creative suite and video editing skills a plus.

• Technical experience in using a CMS such as Contentful/Shopify.

Spa Receptionist – Bamford Haybarn, Cotswolds

Our Bamford family is growing, and we are looking for a talented and passionate Spa Receptionist to join us. About you

As our Spa Receptionist, you’ll be responsible to manging all client bookings in line with our bookings system. You will be first point of contact for all guests using the spa. You will ensure opening and closing procedures are completed fully as directed by the Spa Management team.

Main responsibilities

• Handle all incoming clients to the spa and direct accordingly.

• Manage client accounts and bookings via the bookings systems.

• Greet all clients with a 5 star welcome.

As a Spa Therapist, you will be required to perform the Bamford face and body treatment protocols after full training. You will also deliver other holistic therapies including Hot stones, Chakra’s and Crystals. • Undertake full assessment of clients’ requirements and suitability of treatments and products offered.
