Khadi cloth is typically woven in lengths of 11 yards. Each bolt is slightly different, depending on the yarn, the spinner and the tension on the loom being handled by each weaver. It is easy to overlook the subtle changes between fabrics. We have chosen to patch together the various khadi cloths (both linen khadi and cotton khadi) to celebrate these differences. Stitched together with a fine red thread - a reference to the daily blessing and rituals in India where these textiles have been made.
