Daylesford Beehive Tablecloth
Pure cotton tablecloth featuring a design unique to Daylesford of a charming beehive scene, which has been block-printed using hand-carved blocks.
The tablecloth is made using a technique that involves carving designs into fine-grained wood by hand, which are then layered to create the scene. Each scene involves at least three blocks; the skill of the block printers is to judge by eye how they will combine to give the effect of a single impression.
Because of the hand-crafted nature of these table linens, each one will be slightly different. It is these variations that make them special and show the artisan skill involved in their creation.
