THE BAMFORD WELLNESS YOGAWEAR COLLECTION IS A SOFT, BREATHABLE RANGE, DESIGNED FOR LOW IMPACT TRAINING BUT IS SMART AND CONTEMPORARY ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO MOVE YOU BETWEEN A YOGA CLASS AND THE REST OF YOUR DAY - DESIGNED TO COMPLEMENT THE CLASSES AT OUR WELLNESS SPA DESTINATIONS IN LONDON AND THE COTSWOLDS.
The innovative fabric used to create the collection reflects some of the latest developments in sustainable, ecological fabric technology, as well as to improve the performance of pieces designed for low impact sport and exercise. The garments are made using a mixture of GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled polyamide.
GOTS Certified Organic Cotton
The sourcing of our cotton is something we research and consider extremely carefully. 100% of the cotton used in our Wellness Collection is certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which is the most respected and trusted certification in the industry.
We incorporate a small proportion of recycled regenerated fibres into our Wellness collection to enable the stretch and comfort expected from quality performance wear. The recycled polyamide fibre is created by re-melting waste fibres that would otherwise be disposed of, using a mechanised process rather than chemicals. Using recycled fibres maintains the integrity of the garment, contributing to less water consumption and C02 emissions compared to traditional polyamides.
The organic cotton is mixed by a twist of the recycled polyamide, resulting in an innovative fabric that is breathable and lightweight, perfectly designed to allow the skin to breathe and stay fresh and dry during exercise.
Organically grown cotton is better for our environment as the crops aren’t treated with pesticides, insecticides or herbicides and contribute to the regeneration of the soil.
Where we have had to use some man-made fibres to enable stretch, we have chosen recycled fibres which are produced with a reduction in CO2 emissions and water consumption.
MADE IN PORTUGAL
We work with two expert jersey manufacturers in Portugal which are individually audited and GOTS certified, covering the welfare of the workers and any treatments or dyes used.
