CAROLE BAMFORD HAS BEEN A CHAMPION OF SUSTAINABLE, MINDFUL LIVING FOR OVER 40 YEARS, DRIVEN BY HER PROFOUND BELIEF THAT WE NEED TO WORK IN HARMONY WITH NATURE.
As the founder of Daylesford Organic, she is recognised as a visionary in regenerative farming. What began as a simple desire to make a difference to the health and food of her family has evolved into one of the UK's most sustainable organic farms.
Bamford soon followed, born out of Carole’s belief that what we put onto our body is as important as what we put into it through our food. At its core is a desire to harness the healing power of nature to nourish mind, body and spirit. The brand's signature fragrance, geranium, is inspired by the 110 different varieties Carole continues to nurture in her glasshouse at home in Gloucestershire.
Bamford’s clothing collections are made consciously using natural fibres. Designs are timeless and celebrate traditional craftsmanship - a reflection of Carole's passion for supporting artisan skills.
Bamford’s holistic approach to wellness is inspired by Carole’s travels throughout India, a place she considers to be her 'spiritual home'. In 2019 Carole opened Nila House in Jaipur – a centre of excellence dedicated to honouring and preserving India’s natural dye and handloom traditions. Its aim is to support artisans across the country, offering a dynamic platform for cultural and artistic exchange.
