WINTER'S MOON
A Celebration of Stillness
Our Christmas collection celebrates the moon and its quiet journey across winter skies. In the darkness of the season, the moon feels especially striking: suspended against crisp, clear skies, its light sharper and more luminous. And with the nights stretching long, the winter moon holds a rare intensity – a vivid glow that draws the eye upward and invites us into stillness. Amid the seasonal bustle, the satellite’s steady presence invites us to pause and embrace the value in slowing down.
‘‘There is something enchanting about the winter’s moon, against dark December skies it seems somehow bigger and brighter – watching over us as the nights grow longer. Even when the air is bitterly cold, I love to wrap up warm, step outside and gaze up at the night sky. Beneath the glow of nature’s great satellite, I feel grounded – more connected than ever to the natural world. It’s a quiet reminder of its beauty and constancy.’
Carole Bamford

To walk out into the night and see the moon above is to feel part of something greater than ourselves – something enduring. As witnesses to its cyclical transformation, we reconnect with nature’s elemental rhythms. These moments of stillness, of simply being present beneath the vast canopy of night, remind us of our place within the natural world and our responsibility to protect it.
The phases of the moon have long been a source of reflection and ritual. The new moon, when the sky is at its darkest, is often seen as a moment for fresh beginnings, ideas and intentions. As the moon waxes and light gradually returns, it can be a time to nurture those intentions, carrying them forward with focus and energy. The full moon, luminous and whole, invites release: a chance to let go of what no longer serves us and to reflect with clarity on what has been. And as the moon wanes, we are guided toward rest and restoration, ready to begin again when the cycle turns.
CELESTIAL WINTER DATES FOR YOUR CALENDAR

Full Moon
4th December 2025
The final full moon of the year known as the Cold Moon, will illuminate the sky in Gemini, marking the third and last supermoon of 2025. Traditionally, the Cold Moon heralds the onset of winter’s most introspective period, offering a natural pause to reflect and prepare for the year ahead. This lunation encourages the release of outdated mental patterns and the cultivation of fresh perspectives. Engaging in practices such as journaling, meditation, or intention-setting can harness this energy, helping to close the year with clarity and purpose.

Geminid Meteor Shower
14th December 2025
The 2025 Geminid meteor shower promises one of the most impressive celestial displays of the year. Originating from the asteroid 3200 Phaethon, the Geminids are known for their slow, vivid streaks across the night sky. With minimal moonlight interference, you can expect optimal visibility.

New Moon
20th December 2025
This new moon marks a powerful moment of renewal and intention-setting. Occuring in Sagittarius, a sign synonymous with exploration, optimism and higher learning, this lunation encourages bold vision and expansive thinking. The sky will sit darkened by the moon's absence, conditions ideal for reflection, planting seeds for future ambition.

Winter Solstice
21st December 2025
The Winter Solstice marks the year’s shortest day and longest night, a natural pause to reset. Traditionally a time of introspection, it invites the release of what no longer serves us, setting intentions for the year ahead. Even in darkness, the returning light reminds us of renewal, growth, and the enduring cycles of nature.
