Daylesford Organic and Bamford join forces to upcycle coffee grounds, creating the B Vibrant Tonifying Body Polish.
Inspired by the desire to repurpose coffee grounds salvaged from Daylesford's cafés, our new Tonifying Body Polish – an extension to the B Vibrant range - is crafted from a natural blend of sugar and upcycled coffee grounds.
Daylesford’s coffee supplier, Extract Coffee Roasters, is committed to ethical practices that benefit both people and planet. Supporting Grounds Up – a collective of charity partners and community projects – they strive to build sustainable, long-term relationships with coffee growers, paying premiums higher than fair trade for exceptional quality coffee. Over the years, they have cultivated relationships with farmers, sharing knowledge and fostering friendships. Once harvested, milled and roasted, these coffee beans are distributed to Daylesford's cafés.
Beyond ethical sourcing, we spotted an opportunity to implement another eco-friendly initiative. Every year, 4,000KG of used coffee grounds are retrieved from our cafés. Although these are not wasted - as they are used to make compost – we wanted to create a new and innovative value for one of the largest waste streams from Daylesford sites. Known to be highly beneficial for skincare, coffee holds natural exfoliating properties and a rich antioxidant content, sparking the idea for our skin buffing polish.

An aromatic blend of rosemary, peppermint, and eucalyptus refreshes the mind and body in the B Vibrant Body Polish. This indulgent sugar scrub gently exfoliates and nourishes deeply with coconut oil and shea butter. The coarse texture of the coffee grounds and sugar effectively removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin smoother and softer. Additionally, the coffee's caffeine content helps improve circulation, temporarily tightening and firming the skin, which can reduce the appearance of cellulite and even out skin tone. Massage a small amount of the scrub onto damp skin using firm circular motions, allowing the invigorating aromas to envelop your senses. Rinse with warm water to reveal silky-smooth, rejuvenated skin.
