BAMFORD’S 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS INSTAGRAM COMPETITION

Eligibility

  • This competition is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
  • Competition Period
  • The competition runs for 24 hours per post from 10am - 10am.
  • Entries received after the closing date will not be eligible.

How to Enter

  • To enter, participants must follow both the official Bamford Instagram account (@bamford) and affiliated partner, like the competition post, and tag a friend in the comments.
  • Additional entry requirements may be specified in the competition post.

Prize

  • The prize is as described in the competition post and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or any other prize.
  • The prize is not transferable and must be redeemed by the winner as per the terms outlined below.

Prize Redemption

  • The prize is only redeemable against the prize stated in the competition post.
  • The prize may be subject to availability, and booking may be required in advance, subject to the venue’s terms and conditions.
  • The winner is responsible for any additional expenses, such as travel costs, meals, or incidental fees, that are not expressly included in the prize.

Winner Selection and Notification

  • The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries.
  • The winner will be notified via a direct message from the official Bamford Instagram account (@bamford) within 24 hours after the competition closes.
  • If the winner does not respond within 48 hours of being contacted, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected per the above steps.

Booking and Stay Conditions

  • The winner will be put in touch with the relevant team via email to arrange the details of their prize, including booking stays.
  • All stays and other prize components are subject to the venue’s terms and conditions and availability.
  • Bamford is not responsible for any issues related to the booking or stay beyond facilitating the initial contact.

Data Protection

  • Personal information provided by the winner will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and delivering the prize. It will not be shared with third parties, except as necessary for prize fulfilment.

General Terms

  • By entering, participants agree to comply with Instagram's Terms of Use and acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.
  • Bamford reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates the competition rules or engages in any form of fraudulent activity.
  • Bamford reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time without notice, including changing the prize or the terms and conditions.

Liability

  • Bamford will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any participant as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize.

  • Content: our checking processes are designed to ensure correct prices are published and that the description of the product and its photographic representation is accurate. The colours shown on your monitor may differ to the actual colours of the garments due to technical reasons beyond our control.

ORDERING

  • Order process: the website and mail-order service is set-up to guide you through the steps you need to take to place an order with us. You are only able to place an order if the item is in stock. Please take the time to read and check your order at each page of the order process.
  • Your offer to buy: when you confirm and pay for your order, you offer to buy the products at the prices indicated including any delivery charges that apply to your purchase.
  • Workshops, classes & treatments must be prepaid in full at time of booking. Please retain the email confirmation for proof of payment of your booking and bring the confirmation with you on the day of your booking
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of order: after placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order.
  • Acceptance of order: we confirm our acceptance of your order by sending you an email that confirms that the products have been dispatched (dispatch confirmation). The contract between us will only be formed when we send you the dispatch confirmation.
  • If we cannot accept your order: if we are unable to fulfil your order, for example because that product is not actually in stock or no longer available or because of an error in the price or description on our site, we will inform you of this by e-mail and we will not charge you for the product. If you have already paid for the items, we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible.

AUTO REPLENISH

  • By placing an auto-replenish order you are authorizing us to charge your card for future orders at the frequency and quantity you selected.
  • The cost of each shipment may vary depending on the quantity and frequency chosen.
  • Auto-replenish items will ship automatically unless you cancel your order.
  • The minimum cycle commitment is 3 replenishments before you can cancel.
  • Discount applies to the current retail price of the product and may be subject to change.

CANCELLATION OF YOUR ORDER

  • Products: you may cancel an order, or parts of an order, at any time after you have placed it up until the confirmation of dispatch.   • Classes: classes cancelled up to 3 hours before the start of the class will be refunded in full. Cancellations of orders after delivery:

Title of goods will pass to you at the point we charge your payment card or, when other payment methods are used, funds are credited to our account.

 

RETURNS

In the event you would like to return your purchase, full price items must be returned within 30 days of receipt, sale items within 15 days.

  • Clothing, Accessories and Homeware items should be returned in their original condition and packaging. Returns that are used, damaged or altered may not be accepted.
  • Body and Skincare items must be returned unused, unopened, and in the original packaging.
  • Faulty items are considered faulty when received damaged or where a manufacturing fault occurs within three months of purchase. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. When possible, we will offer to repair faulty items free of charge to our customers.
  • Please contact customer service to organise a return. Place the item to return in the original box with the original shipment document. Customer service will notify you when we have received your returned item. Returns should be sent to;

  • For returns within the UK items can be returned our stores. Alternatively, we can arrange a DHL collection free of charge. All reimbursement of funds will be processed through our head office and not in store. Please contact customer services to arrange web order returns.
  • For returns outside the UK the costs of returning the items are your responsibility. Bamford will not be responsible or liable if any item you return is lost, misdirected or delivered late. As a result customer has to bear the risks of the shipping chosen, please retain proof of delivery confirmation.

Receiving a refund:

  • Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser’s credit card except when a treatment, workshop or class is booked online then it will be credited to your Mind Body account. Crediting refunds to your bank account can take up to 14 working days of receipt of goods or cancellation notification.
  • Clothing and accessories purchased in store during a sale period will not be eligible for a full refund. It will be possible to exchange this item by returning this to the store directly for either a product of similar monetary value or the issue of store credit to be used at a later date. Please note the items should be returned in same condition as they were sold to accept the return.
  • All items purchased on the website during sale periods can be returned and refunded.

Exchanges:

  • Products: physical product items are exchangeable only into a different size and colour. All exchanges are based on stock availability and are shipped to you free of charge or receipt of your returned item.
  • Services: classes, workshops & treatments sales are non-exchangeable. Please refer to our cancellation policy to make an amendment to your order.

PRICE AND PAYMENT

The price you pay is as shown on our website at the time you order and includes U.K. VAT where applicable. As you are purchasing from a U.K. website all orders delivered to U.K. addresses include VAT at the prevailing U.K. rate of 20%. Orders will only be accepted if there is no major error in the prices or descriptions shown. A separate post and packaging (P&P) charge may apply to goods and this will be shown on the website. The P&P charge shown is for all customers prior to confirming your order.

 

Price errors:

It is always possible that, despite our reasonable efforts, some of the products on our site may be incorrectly priced. We reserve the right to change prices listed on the website without prior notice.

Where the product’s correct price is less than the price stated on our site, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the products to you.

If the product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will contact you in writing by e-mail as soon as possible to inform you of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the product at the correct price or cancelling your order.

Customs, duty and import charges: you may be liable to pay import duty or tax on goods entering your country. Any additional charges must be paid by the customer. We have no control over these charges and are unable to predict if they are to go up or down in value. Please note: it’s a legal requirement that we declare the full value of the goods (not including shipping charges) on all packages destined outside the European Union.

 

WHEN YOU MUST PAY AND HOW YOU MUST PAY:

Payment can be made using Mastercard, Visa, and American Express, Apple Pay & Google Pay. Payment for the products and all applicable delivery charges is in advance.

Additional gift wrapping: all dispatched products will be wrapped into a white box free of charge. As part of the checkout process our customers have an additional optional gift wrapping premium service at cost of £10 inclusive of VAT. An additional gift message can also be specified in the shopping basket – please “add order note” for the gift message you desire.

 

DELIVERY

U.K. Delivery options:

  • Free click and collect to your nearest Bamford store. Orders ready within 2 hours of purchase
  • Standard delivery £7 for a 2-5 working day service.
  • Next working Day delivery £10 (order by 2pm previous working day, Sunday - Thursday)

UK delivery charges include delivery to Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Norther Ireland.

Overseas delivery options:

Carriage for overseas deliveries will be fulfilled by courier. Delivery costs outside the UK are dependent on the destination country;

  • Europe from £25. Between 3-7 days delivery.
  • United States, North America and Eastern Europe from £35. Between 4-6 days delivery.
  • Rest of world from £35. Between 7-10 days delivery.

A quote can be obtained by providing your delivery details in the shopping checkout on the website prior to confirming your order.

When we will provide the products: we will deliver products to you as soon as reasonably possible. Orders are usually dispatched between 1-3 days from the date of the order being placed. Please contact us our customer service team if your delivery has not been received within the dates described.

We are not liable for events outside of our control: in the event that we are unable to meet the delivery within the expected dates because of events outside of our control, we will contact you to let you know with a revised delivery date and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

If you are not in when the product is delivered: if the delivery service is unable to successfully delivery your order a card will be left so that a re-delivery or collection from a local depot can be arranged. 1.1   What these terms cover: These are the terms and conditions on which gift cards are sold to you either through use of the online checkout or by phone to the customer services team.  Procurement of physical gift cards in store are not covered by these terms.  These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide gift cards to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information.

1.2   Why you should read them: These Terms will apply to any contract between us for the sale of gift cards. Please read these Terms carefully before ordering any gift cards.  If you think that there is a mistake in these terms, please contact us to discuss.

1.3   Print or Save:  You should print a copy of these Terms or save them to your computer for future reference.

1.4   Dealings as a consumer: These Terms apply if you are dealing with us as a consumer. If we supply gift cards under these terms then they are only supplied for domestic and private use.

1.6   Legal rights: As a consumer, you have legal rights. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Terms will affect these legal rights.

3.4 References to “we”, ‘us’ and ‘our’:  These terms are issued on behalf of all entities falling within the Bamford Collection so “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms is reference to the relevant entity from whom you are purchasing gift cards.

  1. COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN US

4.1   Writing includes emails: When we refer, in these Terms, to "in writing" or “written”, this will include e-mail.

4.2   How we contact you: If we have to contact you or give you notice in writing, we will do so by the contact details you provide to us in your order.

4.3   Electronic communication: For contractual purposes, you agree to electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.  This condition does not affect your legal rights.

  1. BASIS OF SALE CONTRACT

5.1   Order Process: Our websites are set-up to guide you through the steps you need to place an order for gift cards with us and will clarify what type of gift cards are available.  Currently the following gift cards are available to purchase online:

- via bamford.com – only physical gift cards available to purchase, no e-gift cards available

- via daylesford.com – both physical and e-gift cards available to purchase

- via thewildrabbit.co.uk – only e-gift cards available to purchase

- via daylesfordstays.com – only e-gift cards available to purchase

- via thefoxatoddington.com – only e-gift cards available to purchase

- via thebellatcharlbury.com – only e-gift cards available to purchase

No gift cards can be purchased from or redeemed at The Three Horseshoes or www.threehorseshoesasthall.com

Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us.  Please take the time to read and check your order at each page of the order process. 

5.2   Your offer to buy: When you confirm and pay for your order, you offer to buy the gift cards at the prices indicated including any delivery charges that apply to your purchase.   

5.3   Acknowledgement of receipt of order: After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order.  However, please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted.  Our acceptance of your order will take place as described in the paragraph below. 

5.4   Acceptance of order: We will confirm our acceptance of your order by sending you an email that confirms that the gift cards have been dispatched or are available for collection where you have chosen Click and Collect, if available (Dispatch Confirmation).  The Contract between us will only be formed when we send you the Dispatch Confirmation.

5.5   If we cannot accept your order: If we are unable to supply you with a gift card, we will inform you of this by e-mail and we will not process your order nor charge you.  If you have already paid, we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible.

  1. PAYMENT AND PRICES

6.1   Prices: We offer a variety of gift cards.  These can be monetary gift cards in various denominations or gift cards for Cookery School and other named experiences.  Our delivery charges for physical gift cards will be as quoted on the site at the time you submit your order and will be advised during the check-out process before you confirm your order.   

6.2   VAT changes: The price is VAT inclusive (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the UK for the time being. 

6.3   When you must pay and how you must pay: Payment can be made using the methods set out during the order process.  Payment for the gift cards and all applicable delivery charges is in advance.  We will not charge your debit card or credit card until we dispatch your order. 

  1. DELIVERY

7.1   Methods of Delivery and Delivery costs: Where physical gift cards are available to be purchased the methods of delivery available and delivery costs will be as quoted on the site at the time you submit your order and will be advised during the check-out process before you confirm your order.   Where e-gift cards are purchased these will be issued by email on a free of charge basis.  

Delivery charges are for one delivery to a single address in the UK.  We are not able to ship physical gift cards to an overseas address.

7.2   When we will provide the Gift Cards: We will deliver physical gift cards to you as soon as reasonably possible (with orders usually dispatched within 3 days from the date of the order being placed if the order is accepted), but in any event within 30 days of the date of the Dispatch Confirmation (the date on which we email you to confirm our acceptance of your order).  E-gift cards shall generally be issued by the next day (unless during the ordering process you set a specific delivery date).

7.3   Other terms for delivery of physical gift cards: Our standard online terms and conditions for the supply of products also apply for the online sale of physical gift cards. 

7.4   We are not liable for events outside of our control: If we are unable to meet the delivery because of events outside of our control, we will contact you to let you know with a revised delivery date and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.  Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any gift cards you have paid for but not received. 

  • Risk: Risk in physical gift cards shall pass to you upon delivery or receipt if the Gift Card is purchased in store. Risk in digital e-gift cards shall pass to you upon receipt of the email.
  1. CANCELLATION AND RETURN

For cancellation rights relating to your order, please review the Cancellation and Return section of the Daylesford Online Sale Terms and Conditions here as these cancellation terms will apply irrespective of the Bamford Collection brand from whom you purchase the gift cards.  These shall apply so long as the gift card has not been used at all.  Used or part used gift cards are not able to be returned or cancelled.

  1. OUR LIABILITY

9.1   We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us.  If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if we both know it might happen at the time we entered into the Contract.

9.2   We are not liable for business losses.  We only supply the gift-cards for domestic and private use.  We have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity if you use the gift card for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes.

9.3   We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so which includes liability for:

(a)          death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

(b)          fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

(c)           for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products including the right to receive product which are as described and match information we provided to you; of satisfactory quality; fit for any particular purpose made known to us; and

(d)          defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

  1. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

10.1 We may transfer this agreement to someone else.  We may transfer our rights and obligations under a Contract to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Terms. We will contact you to let you know if we plan to do this.  If you are unhappy with the transfer you may contact us to end the contract within 7 days of us telling you about it and we will refund you any payments you have made in advance for products not provided.

10.2 You need our consent to transfer your rights to someone else.  You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these Terms to another person if we agree in writing.

10.3 Nobody else has any rights under this contract.  This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.  Gift cards can, however, be used by a gift recipient of your choosing but the Gift Card Terms of Use shall apply.

10.4 If a court finds part of this contract illegal, the rest will continue in force.  Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

10.5 Which laws apply to this contract and where you may bring legal proceedings.  Please note that these Terms are governed by English law. This means a Contract for the purchase of gift cards and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it will be governed by English law.  You can bring legal proceedings in the English courts.  However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland or Northern Ireland. We will not file a copy of the Contract between us.

10.6 Fulfilment by our service provider.  Please note any digital/e-gift Gift Cards purchased through our website are managed and fulfilled by Givex UK Corporation Limited – Palladium House, 1-4 Argyll Street, London W1F 7LD and registered in England with company number 05054666 (“Givex”).

  1. TERMS OF GIFT CARDS
    • Validity: Gift cards have a validity of 12 months from activation date.

 

  • Places of use: Monetary gift cards purchased from anywhere within Bamford Collection can be used anywhere within the Bamford Collection in full and part payment but subject to the following:

 

  • Bamford – both physical and e-gift cards can be redeemed in store and at spa (for products, services and experiences) but no redemption is possible via bamford.com
  • Daylesford – both physical and e-gift cards can be redeemed in store and online at daylesford.com (for products, services and experiences)
  • Daylesford Stays (including The Fox, The Bell and The Wild Rabbit) - Gift cards can be used at premises only for food drink and accommodation.
  • Gift cards which are stated to be for a specific experience (for example Cookery School) may only be used for purchase of that experience.
  • Purchases online using a gift card may only be for deliveries within the UK.
  • When using a Gift Card to shop online you will be required to give the barcode number on the gift card and the PIN.

 

  • Exclusions from use: The gift cards cannot be spent for purchases made over the phone, online at bamford.com or online at any of the websites falling within the Daylesford Stays brand, at Selfridges, at the Berkeley Hotel, or on com.  They may not be used towards payment for third party services that may be arranged on your behalf by way of concierge service.  You may also not purchase other Gift Cards using Gift Cards.  They are also only available for use in the UK.

 

  • Balance: When you use a Gift Card in store or online, the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance on the Gift Card. If your purchase totals less than the value of the Gift Card, any balance will be left as credit for you on your Gift Card to spend in future. However, additional value cannot be added to any Gift Card and change will not be given. You may obtain information about the remaining balance on the Gift Card online, in store or via Guest Services.
  • No cash: A Gift Card cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash. We will not give change or refund any balance remaining.  Cash refunds will not be available for products purchased with a Gift Card.
  • Return policy: Physical gift cards purchased in store may not be returned for a refund. Gift cards purchased online are subject to the terms and conditions of sale advised at the time of purchase.
  • Loss or damage: A Gift Card is like cash. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced, refunded, cancelled, blocked, restricted in any way or exchanged for a new Gift Card. If your Gift Card becomes accidentally damaged or if you have any issues with using your Gift Card, please contact Guest Services.
  • No liability for use: We shall not be responsible for any use of the funds on any Gift Card(s) without your knowledge or consent.
  • Refusal rights: We reserve the right to refuse to accept any Gift Card which we consider has been tampered with, copied or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud.
  • Purchases using gift cards: The terms of supply of products, services and experiences purchased using gift cards are all covered by our standard terms and conditions (for store purchases are detailed in store and for online purchases as available on the relevant site). All refunds of goods or services purchased with a Gift Card will be made in accordance with the relevant cancellation or refund policy set out for the supply of such goods or services. This does not affect your statutory rights.   If you cancel any services or return or exchange any products purchased using a Gift Card in accordance with the cancellation or refund policies then the purchase price or difference in value will be refunded to a Gift Card.
